Responsibilities:

  • Create and curate compelling and engaging social media content for thewest.com.au and PerthNow.
  • Manage and populate thewest.com.au and PerthNow's social media accounts in conjunction with the wider digital team.
  • Use graphic design and video tools such as Adobe Express to help create engaging social media content.
  • Manage thewest.com.au and PerthNow's paid social media accounts to ensure optimum reach and CTR.
  • Advise on our social media strategy and ensure the social media channels align with this strategy.

Requirements:

  • Journalism degree and experience working within the media industry or in a similar social media role.
  • A strong work ethic and a healthy level of initiative.
  • A high level of literacy and attention to detail.
  • Good interview and communication skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously under high pressure.
