Flow Cytometry Research Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Research Assistant to join our team in a dynamic laboratory environment. As a Research Assistant, you will be responsible for executing flow cytometry tests, establishing and maintaining cell cultures, managing reagent inventories, participating in SOPs and worksheets, and contributing to the technical management of the laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform cell assays using various flow cytometry techniques and instruments, adhering to standard operating procedures;
  • Develop and maintain high-quality cell cultures;
  • Effectively manage reagent inventory and orders;
  • Contribute to the development and review of SOPs and worksheets;
  • Collaborate with laboratory team members to ensure smooth operations;
  • Participate in internal training activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in life sciences such as biology, medical biology, or biochemistry/biotechnology;
  • At least two years of experience in flow cytometry;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills;
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and schedules;
  • Commitment to quality and safety standards;
  • Willingness to learn and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Work Environment:
  • Monday to Friday and Tuesday to Saturday shifts;
  • Based in Baulkham Hills, NSW 2153.
