We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Venue Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional customer experiences at our facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the management of our facility, our team, and our local community. You will be fully accountable for the Centre's operational, financial, and program deliverables.
This is a seasonal position from September to May, and we can offer support with off-season work between Tin Can Bay and Gympie ARC.
Key Accountabilities
* Achieve budgeted performance targets and maintain a high-value relationship with our council partner.
* Implement a high-value customer service proposition that addresses the needs of our client base.
* Lead and drive a high-performance community-minded culture through highly visible and hands-on leadership and team engagement.
* Train staff as required to ensure that knowledge and capability are at the required levels to enable staff to carry out their work and achieve their objectives.
* Maintain facilities to approved standards in line with contract requirements.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* A minimum of 3 years' leadership experience.
* Highly developed communication skills with a flair for positive influencing and negotiating win-win outcomes.
* Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation.
* Experience in planning and execution of operational, financial, and people plans to successful outcomes.
* National Police Check.
* Working with Children Check.
* Legal working rights in Australia.
* Current CPR Certificate.
* Current First Aid Certificate (Level 2).
Desirable:
* Great understanding of local government and processes.
* Pool Lifeguard Certificate.
* Pool Operations Certificate.
