We are seeking a motivated and experienced professional to fill a temporary Credit Officer position.

This is a dynamic opportunity to join our team and take on key responsibilities including:

  • Onboarding new accounts
  • Credit limit reviews
  • Reconciliation of accounts
  • High volume collection of due & outstanding debts
  • Daily release of orders and daily banking

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in steel distribution or manufacturing/related industry
  • A solid understanding of basic accounting principles, credit practices and collection regulations
  • Previous experience in Credit Assessment and Credit Analysis
  • Credit reporting skills
  • An understanding of PPSA (Personal Property Security Act)
  • The ability to engage and negotiate with internal and external customers
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail skills
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • The ability to multi-task and be adaptable
  • The drive to work unsupervised
  • Strong computer skills, with excellent knowledge of Excel
  • A Certificate III or IV in Financial Services (Credit Management) would be highly regarded
  • Membership of the AICM and attainment of your CCE would also be highly regarded
