Job Opportunity: Graduate Accountant

A challenging role has become available for an ambitious individual to work in a dynamic environment. The position involves performing financial duties, including accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, bank reconciliations, cash flow management, general ledger and balance sheet reconciliation, payroll transactions, and preparation of financial reports.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing all aspects of accounts payable and receivable
  • Preparing monthly and annual budgets and forecasts
  • Conducting bank reconciliations and daily cash flow management
  • Reconciling the general ledger and balance sheet to trial balance
  • Assisting with payroll transactions and preparing BAS and Payroll Tax
  • Updating the asset written down value report and preparing government fuel tax rebate and fringe benefits tax
  • Performing daily data entry into accounting systems
  • Assisting with administrative functions, spreadsheet maintenance, and month-end/year-end reporting

**Qualifications and Skills**

To be considered for this role, you should have completed a recognised degree from an Australian tertiary institution. Applicants with prior experience may also be considered.

Essential skills and qualities include:

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Sound computer skills in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Excellent knowledge and experience using accounting software (training can be provided)
  • A methodical and organised approach to work with attention to detail
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management skills to meet deadlines
