Electoral Integrity Through International Engagement

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our International Engagement team as a Project Officer. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day administration of the section and contribute to election and referendum assistance to foreign countries and organisations.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Providing administrative support to the section, including maintaining governance arrangements and ensuring program accountability, compliance, and risk management.
  • Assisting with the deployment of AEC staff on international postings and visits by foreign electoral management bodies or organisations.

To excel in this role, you will need to possess excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, as well as the ability to set priorities, pay attention to detail, and deliver quality and accurate results on time in a project/program context.

Desirable qualifications include relevant tertiary qualifications in international services, public administration, or similar, as well as knowledge of Australian electoral law and practice.
