High Voltage Transmission Specialist

We are seeking a forward-thinking Power System Engineer to contribute to the long-term planning and performance of our high voltage electricity transmission network.
About the Role- Contribute to strategic initiatives and ensure secure and operable system performance.
- Evaluate customer connection proposals and negotiate service agreements.
- Develop and maintain power system models to support operational efficiency.
- Support system capability and security analysis, operational planning, and equipment assessments.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
This role is ideal for someone who applies engineering principles to real-world challenges, thrives on innovation, and is committed to delivering resilient network performance.
Requirements- 3-5 years experience in discipline related role and demonstrable capability.
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Eligibility for membership with Engineers Australia.
- Strong understanding of transmission system reliability, substation components, and operational performance.
- Experience with power system modelling tools such as PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerFactory, and PLEXOS.
- Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to undertake programming using Python or similar.
- Collaborative mindset and commitment to safety-first practices.
