Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to work on a part-time basis with flexible hours, approximately 24 hours per week. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Provide technical advice and engineering support to clients both on-site and remotely.">
  • Collaborate with in-house engineers and designers to introduce new technologies safely at client sites.">
  • Gather customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.">
  • Support design tasks, ensure accurate documentation, and timely completion.">
  • Assess equipment during re-builds and suggest cost-effective improvements.">
  • Continuously refine systems and methods for efficient service delivery.">
  • Attend sales, engineering, and project meetings as required.">
  • Execute design activities following company guidelines, standards, and specifications.">
  • Assist in creating and improving manuals, work packs, commissioning procedures, and training materials.">
  • Provide guidance and training to Project Management, Sales, Estimating, and Workshop teams.">
  • Coordinate and attend client update meetings and initiate Engineering Change Requests as needed.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • A minimum of 6 years' experience in mechanical engineering design or project engineering within mining or heavy industry is required.">
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project is essential.">
  • Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills are necessary.">
  • Experience in hydraulic equipment design and manufacture is highly desirable.">
  • A background in Reliability Engineering is also beneficial.">

The successful candidate will be based in Perth, Western Australia, and will work closely with the client's engineering team.
