Job Overview

The Australian Government Department of Home Affairs is seeking highly motivated and skilled professionals to join our team as Border Security Policy Officers or Trade Systems Transformation Specialists. As a key member of our Customs and Border Modernisation Branch, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of Australia's border security and trade systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of discrete policy projects with transformational options to improve efficiency and effectiveness of how we operate at the border.
  • Assist with the development of Whole of Government policy aspects and build and maintain critical stakeholder relationships and negotiate positive outcomes.
  • Manage program and project activities to achieve results, including facilitating stakeholder input, and monitoring and documenting progress against timeframes and key performance metrics.
  • Communicate clearly through high-quality written products tailored to the audience and confidently deliver messages verbally.
  • Exercise judgment and seek guidance and advice when required.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of $84,335 - $99,779 per annum, plus 15.4% superannuation. We also offer flexible working conditions, a comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for career growth and professional development.

Eligibility
