The Product Marketing Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping Xero's communication strategy for small businesses across channels to support consideration, acquisition, and cross-sell.
This is an exciting opportunity to own Xero's single source of truth when it comes to aligning small business customer messaging globally. The ideal candidate will gain a deep understanding of customer needs and their use of Xero to benefit their business, refine ideal customer profiles, customer value propositions, and detailed feature messaging with associated proof points and validation.
Key responsibilities include driving quantitative and qualitative research into small business accounting/business management needs, developing and maintaining customer-centric value propositions and ready-to-use messaging for target customers, working with subject matter experts to continually refine value propositions and messaging, and identifying opportunities to refine feature messaging and customer value propositions.

- Drive the accumulation and development of claims to validate customer value propositions.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in product marketing or related roles, experience working across time zones, experience working with stakeholders of all levels and functions, experience with customer engagement, and experience with qualitative and quantitative research, development of customer value propositions, and copywriting.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will have business acumen and a data-driven approach to decision-making, excellent verbal and written communication skills, a proactive mindset with a 'roll-up-your-sleeves' attitude, and the ability to craft compelling messaging that connects and converts target customers.
