We are seeking a highly skilled Youth Mental Health Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team at Murrumbidgee Local Health District. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering holistic, person-centred care to young people with complex mental health needs and their families and carers.
- This role involves working closely with other healthcare professionals to assess, plan, and deliver comprehensive mental health care to the regional community of Deniliquin and surrounds.

About the PositionThis is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated mental health professional to make a real difference in the lives of young people and their families.
- Key responsibilities include developing and implementing integrated service models to improve patient outcomes, preventing unnecessary hospitalisations through timely access to targeted clinical care, and supporting families and carers of young people experiencing severe mental illness.
We are particularly interested in attracting applicants who share our commitment to providing culturally sensitive care to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander young people, those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, LGBTIQ+ individuals, and those experiencing social and economic disadvantage.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A deep understanding of youth mental health principles and practices, including trauma-informed care.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A high level of professionalism and integrity.
We encourage applications from qualified mental health professionals who are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people and their families.
BenefitsThis role offers a range of benefits, including the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment, ongoing training and professional development opportunities, and the chance to make a real difference in the lives of young people and their families.
- This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires dedication, compassion, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
