Job Overview

We are partnering with a renowned South Australian contractor to source an experienced Safety Officer.

This is an exceptional opportunity to foster a strong safety culture on site and contribute to the success of high-profile commercial construction projects on a medium and large scale.

The Role

You will work closely with Site Supervisors to ensure a safe working environment, taking responsibility for daily WHS, planning, controlling and implementing WHSQ procedures, and maintaining necessary documentation and certifications.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting regular site inspections, toolbox talks, risk assessments, SWMS, JSA's and WHS documentation maintenance.
  • Liaising with staff regarding works carried out and ensuring adherence to current WHS codes of practice and legislation.
  • Developing and nurturing a safety-first environment and culture within the organisation.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have experience working as a Safety Officer on commercial construction projects with a minimum of 12 months local on-site experience.

A Certificate IV in WHS and an up-to-date First Aid Certificate are highly advantageous.

Salary: The estimated salary range for this role is AU$80,000 - AU$110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
