Talent Development Specialist

Our organization seeks a seasoned Talent and People Manager to strengthen our human capital practices, support senior partners and leaders, and ensure the continued attraction, retention, and development of top talent.

This is a hands-on role suited to a mid-level HR professional who excels in a dynamic, professional services environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive talent strategy aligned with our firm's vision, growth, and culture.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the partnership and leadership team on all people-related matters.
  • Lead recruitment and onboarding processes for staff members.
  • Oversee succession planning, career pathways, and leadership development initiatives.
  • Partner with practice leaders to ensure effective capacity and resourcing management.
  • Design and manage performance frameworks, appraisal processes, and capability development programs.
  • Implement learning and development initiatives, including mentoring, coaching, and technical training.
  • Foster a high-performance, inclusive, and collaborative work culture.
  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations matters, including dispute resolution and workplace investigations.
  • Promote wellbeing, engagement, and diversity initiatives across the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and workplace policies.
  • Manage HR systems, data, and reporting, ensuring accurate and confidential records.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a mid–senior HR leadership role, preferably within professional services or law firms.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practice, and workplace compliance.
  • Experience using HRIS/payroll systems to manage end-to-end HR and payroll processes.
  • Demonstrated success in building and executing people strategies that drive business growth.
  • Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on HR operational delivery.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills.
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to partner effectively with senior stakeholders.
