Job Title: Senior Defence Project Lead

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our defence projects in Sydney. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial and commercial aspects of these projects, ensuring they are financially sound and aligned with long-term operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform traditional quantity surveying functions.
  • Provide strategic guidance on procurement strategies and commercial management.
  • Ensure projects are financially sound and aligned with long-term operational goals.
  • Attend and facilitate client and consultant meetings.
  • Assign project tasks and responsibilities.
  • Implement and ensure commercial processes are being adhered to.
  • Provide commercial support to team members.
  • Implement and maintain Quality Assurance processes.
  • Implement and improve process and procedures.
  • General Quantity Surveying duties required to support service levels.
  • Build, mentor and manage a small team of Quantity Surveyors.
Requirements:
  • Formal QS, Civil Engineering or Construction Degree.
  • RICS/AIQS Membership.
  • DISP Security Clearance.
  • Demonstrated defence sector experience.
  • Extensive experience in cost estimating and planning software/CostX.
  • A demonstrated track record of winning and managing major projects.
  • Proven leadership potential.
