Principal Electrical Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled Principal Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering critical substation infrastructure that underpins the transmission network.

In this role, you will lead complex substation designs, ensuring they meet the highest technical standards while managing project delivery. You will also have the opportunity to mentor and inspire the next generation of engineers, sharing your expertise to help them grow into future leaders.

Your technical skills are grounded in strong fundamentals and have been demonstrated through the delivery of robust and innovative substation engineering designs. You are confident in leading design teams and have a passion for coaching and mentoring emerging engineers.

This role requires a deep understanding of various engineering disciplines, industry regulations, policies, and procedures, as well as project management expertise and experience in integrating complex systems.

  • Significant experience in developing substation designs for high voltage electricity networks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others to deliver as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work effectively with a team of engineers and designers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Proven ability to manage client expectations while building strong relationships to achieve successful outcomes for all stakeholders.
  • A track record of delivering successful project outcomes.
