Substation Design Professional

We are seeking experienced professionals to support a strong pipeline of substation and renewable projects in Australia.

This role offers an opportunity to be part of the energy transition, working on high-profile projects that will shape the future of power systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and review detailed electrical designs for HV layouts, elevations, assembly drawings, and equipment schedules.
  • Draft using industry software, preferably Microstation, but also AutoCAD/Revit.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to deliver efficient, reliable designs.
  • Ensure quality assurance processes and compliance with Australian standards.
  • Mentor and support junior team members.
  • Deliver projects on time and in line with client requirements.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years' experience in substation primary design, either in consulting or utility background.
  • Strong knowledge of HV equipment, substation standards, and Australian regulations.
  • Proficiency in drafting software packages, including Microstation, AutoCAD, and Revit.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
