About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Op Shop Store Manager to lead one of our thriving stores in Queensland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing a dedicated team of staff and volunteers, and ensuring our customers enjoy a welcoming and engaging shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the RSPCA Qld Op Shop team and brand through your passion for all things preloved and second-hand, creating a positive and supportive store atmosphere.
  • Work closely with the Op Shop Store Manager and Area Manager to support the goals and mission of the RSPCA Qld.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all customers.
  • Train and support volunteers, empowering them to contribute to the success of the store.
  • Drive sales to achieve set targets, leveraging your knowledge of fashion and clothing brands to create an attractive and engaging shopping experience.
  • Oversee and review all goods for sale in the store, ensuring they meet our high standards.
  • Direct and monitor the daily register opening and closing procedures, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with RSPCA Qld policies.
  • Maintain and periodically review the shop's pricing list, ensuring it remains competitive and aligned with our brand values.
Requirements
  • Confident in retail and with demonstrated leadership experience in a retail environment (minimum of 2 years in a similar role).
  • Knowledge of fashion and clothing brands, with a keen eye for visual merchandising and display.
  • Proven visual/merchandising skills, with the ability to create an engaging and attractive store environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with staff, volunteers, and customers.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on delivering a positive experience for all customers.
  • High level of organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Sound computer skills, with experience using point-of-sale systems and other retail software.
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the needs of the store and our customers.
  • Ability to supervise and provide direction to a small team, with a focus on developing and empowering staff and volunteers.
