About the Role

RSPCA Queensland is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of animals in Queensland. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in leading one of our successful op shops, ensuring a positive and engaging shopping experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the RSPCA Qld Op Shop team and brand, promoting a positive and supportive store atmosphere.
  • Work closely with the Op Shop Store Manager and Area Manager to achieve sales targets and support the organization's mission.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service, ensuring a welcoming and engaging experience for all customers.
  • Train and support volunteers, empowering them to contribute to the success of the op shop.
  • Drive sales to achieve set targets, utilizing effective merchandising and visual display techniques.
  • Oversee and review all goods for sale in the store, ensuring a high-quality and appealing product range.
  • Direct and monitor the daily register opening and closing procedures, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
  • Maintain and periodically review the shop's pricing list, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with organizational goals.
Requirements
  • Confident retail leader with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, demonstrating strong leadership and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of fashion and clothing brands, with a keen eye for visual merchandising and display.
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to supervise and provide direction to a small team.
  • Sound computer skills, with experience in retail management software and systems.
