Early Years Specialist Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Early Years Specialist to join our team of dedicated professionals. As an Early Years Specialist, you will work in a transdisciplinary team to deliver functional assessments, planning, and delivering early supports for children 0-9 years with a developmental delay or disability and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interact and build rapport with families, listening to the voice of the child and facilitating their inclusion in community and mainstream settings.
  • Coach families, carers, and other professionals to build their capacity and support children to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Document developmental information, goals, and outcomes, and assist families to apply for and implement a funded NDIS plan.

Requirements

  • A tertiary qualification in allied health or education, and current registration with either AHPRA, SPA, AASW, or relevant teaching registration.
  • NSW Drivers licence and previous experience working with children and families, particularly those with developmental delays or disabilities.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to complete references, police check, and NDIS checks.
