
Care Specialist

As a Child and Family Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing support to vulnerable children and families. Working with a range of stakeholders, including children, young people, and carers, you will undertake comprehensive assessments to develop and implement client plans that promote safety, security, and stability.
This role requires flexibility, including travel, to ensure the delivery of services. You will work closely with clients to identify areas of strengths and risks, ensuring children and young people have a voice in the process.
Key responsibilities include:
- Undertaking comprehensive assessments to develop and implement client plans
- Working with clients to identify areas of strengths and risks
- Coordinating with other service providers to deliver support and achieve positive outcomes for clients

Requirements include:
- Degree qualifications in social work, early childhood, psychology, or a similar field
- Experience in case management and working with at-risk children, young people, and families in a child protection-focused role
- A comprehensive understanding of child protection issues and client vulnerabilities and how this may impact child behaviour and development
- An ability to effectively engage and communicate with a range of stakeholders using both written and verbal platforms
Flexibility is key to this role, with a requirement to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
