Job Title: Care Specialist

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Care Specialist to join our team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of older adults.

Job Summary:

This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to residents in a residential aged care home. As a Care Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering individualized care that prioritizes the dignity, life, and spirituality of each resident.

About the Role:

  • Provide direct clinical nursing care to residents in line with best practice nursing procedures.
  • Act as a Team Leader, providing coaching, supervision, and guidance to the personal care team.
  • Work in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues, and residents, closely following all policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor of Nursing or similar qualification.
  • Current AHPRA registration.
  • Thorough understanding of the Aged Care Legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards.
  • Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of the aging process, particularly age-related health issues.
  • Strong coaching/training skills.
  • Effective conflict resolution skills with a high level of emotional intelligence.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
