The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry seeks an experienced Human Resource professional to lead a team of HR Advisors in providing specialized human resource management support across the country. As a key member of the People Support Section, you will exercise independence and leadership in managing complex people issues and building trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team to provide comprehensive HR support, including conditions of employment and case management services
  • Oversee the resolution of complex/high-risk matters, such as performance, probation, attendance, and behavior
  • Prepare complex and sensitive correspondence, briefs, and documentation for senior executives and courts/arbitrators
  • Communicate effectively to provide specialist advice and assistance to staff, using good judgement, expertise, and knowledge
  • Work in close partnership with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives

In this role, you will have demonstrated experience in utilizing judgement and discretion to manage complex HR matters, leading a team managing complex people issues, and working in a fast-paced government setting.
