Empowering Financial Independence

The Karlup Service aims to support women and children who have experienced family and domestic violence by providing a holistic, wraparound recovery-based model.

Our service offers a range of offerings from a state-of-the-art purpose-built facility in Perth's CBD.

Access to trauma and culturally informed financial counselling is key to a woman's journey of recovery and healing.

A Financial Counsellor will work with women to empower them to gain financial independence and effectively manage their finances.

This is a full-time permanent position working 38 hours per week between Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual counselling to women who have experienced issues of family and domestic violence.
  • Assess clients' financial situations and develop plans to achieve financial independence.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to provide a comprehensive support service.
Requirements
  • Diploma of Financial Counselling or equivalent qualification.
  • Current registration with the relevant professional body.
  • Previous experience providing counselling services to women who have experienced family and domestic violence.
  • Sound understanding of community resources and ability to navigate external agency requirements.
