The primary objective of the Data and Information Advisor is to support the Townsville City Council in maintaining compliance with the Information Management Framework by providing a range of data and information management consultancy functions across the organization.
This role has key accountabilities to engage with key stakeholders as a trusted partner to communicate process information or changes to data and information management to ensure awareness, and that appropriate action is taken in a consistent manner.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinating and facilitating the prioritization and implementation of information updates to enhance the quality of insights generated from the information management framework.
- Maintaining data integrity of the Council's registry to ensure changes and updates are made in a timely manner.
- Supporting the improvement and maturation of information management across the Council and working collaboratively across the organization to champion the purpose of Growing Townsville and to deliver the Corporate Plan in consultation with the Townsville Community.
Our ideal candidate will have relevant industry experience to undertake the role and a minimum of 5+ years' extensive experience in a similar position, supporting, improving, promoting, and maturing data and information management across a large multi-disciplined organization.
You will have strong experience providing effective information management consultancy/partnering services/change support, training, and instructional design in, and advising on data and information management processes, procedures, policies, responsibilities, and best-practices.
You will have experience in the following:
- Managing small projects

- Strong knowledge in information management legislation with a proven ability in interpreting and translating technical information
