
Animal Health Surveillance Specialist

This role focuses on setting and delivering the strategic plan for animal disease surveillance activities. The successful candidate will lead reporting and program delivery to inform stakeholders and government.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic plan for animal disease surveillance
- Lead reporting and program delivery to stakeholders and government
- Build relationships across industry and government members
- Represent as a thought leader and contribute technical expertise and innovative solutions
- Translate complex science into clear insights for diverse audiences
About You:
- Tertiary qualification in Veterinary Science and current Australian registration
- Senior experience in livestock health and animal disease surveillance, programs, and policy
- Experience leading teams to deliver results within timeframes and budgets
- Knowledge of Australia's emergency preparedness and response arrangements
- Project management skills including financial and budget management
