Animal Health Surveillance Leader

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will lead a high-performing team in delivering strategic plans and visions for animal disease surveillance activities. They will represent the organization as a thought leader, contributing technical expertise and innovative solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Tertiary Qualification: Veterinary Science with current Australian registration

Senior Operational Experience: Livestock health and animal disease surveillance, programs, and policy

Project Management Skills: Financial and budget management, managing committees

Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Negotiation, presenting, active listening, constructive feedback, written and oral communication

Laboratory Analysis and Report Writing Skills: Scientific analysis, epidemiological principles, distilling complex information into plain English
