Work Experience at Lake Macquarie City Council provides an ideal opportunity for students to gain on-the-job experience, develop new skills, and explore potential career paths.

This program is designed for high school and tertiary students who are currently studying. Participants must provide their own liability insurance to undertake a placement. As part of your application, you will be asked to include:

  • A letter of currency for this insurance
  • Selection of the areas you are interested in completing work experience with (please select a maximum of 3)

All applications will be assessed in terms of timing of the placement, workloads of our employees and the availability of our people in the requested area to mentor and supervise students.
