Senior Culinary Team Member Role

This position requires a highly skilled and experienced culinary professional to lead the Kitchen Division and Food & Beverage division. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of both divisions, ensuring they meet high standards and exceed guest expectations through unique experiences.

The role involves working closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to build and develop both divisions from the ground up, including equipment, service processes, procedures, and more.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Kitchen Division
  • Ensure that guest expectations are met and all interactions are of a high standard
  • Motivate and inspire team members to achieve personal and professional goals
  • Perform administrative tasks such as ordering and rostering
  • Develop and present dishes for client events
  • Assign responsibilities to subordinates and monitor their performance
  • Assist in training and guiding culinary staff
  • Plan and distribute the weekly roster and work schedules in a timely manner
  • Oversee kitchen hygiene and occupational health and safety
  • Stay up-to-date with food and beverage trends
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Senior Chef de Partie in a large hotel or restaurant
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
  • Strong leadership skills that foster a positive team culture
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven knowledge and experience in kitchen administration
  • Ability to manage labor and food costs
  • Strong focus on OH&S and Food Safety Systems
  • Certificate IV of Commercial Cookery and Diploma Degree in Hospitality Management
  • At least 2 years working experience
