Director Systems Verification and Validation

Overview:

Cochlear is the global leader in implantable hearing solutions. We're seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a Director of Systems Verification and Validation.

As the Director Systems Verification and Validation, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our systems meet the highest standards of design verification and validation.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and inspire a global team of talented individuals, both internally and externally.
  2. Ensure that our systems meet the highest standards of design verification and validation.
  3. Develop scalable, cost-efficient processes that guarantee our products meet the design input requirements and fulfill the needs and expectations of our users.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and allocate resources effectively across the organization.
  5. Drive the development of the verification and validation discipline, fostering process improvements and automation.
  6. Empower your team to utilize effective tools and adhere to established processes.
  7. Provide technical guidance and lead the decision-making process, identifying opportunities to introduce cutting-edge technologies, foster product innovation, and drive development initiatives.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum 10 years of post-qualification design and development experience.
  2. Good understanding of product design and verification and validation, as well as demonstrated experience leading verification and validation departments.
  3. Experience with simultaneously managing an internal engineering or verification team and external partners.
  4. Demonstrated ability to identify, select, and manage external partners resulting in increased business performance and continual improvement over time.
  5. Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage multiple internal and external stakeholders who may have divergent interests, to achieve a solution that satisfies all and is optimal for the business.
  6. Demonstrated ability to build, inspire, lead, and manage a technical team to develop team capability and deliver the required business outcomes while achieving positive stakeholder feedback.
  7. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
