Overview of the Role

This role encompasses a comprehensive range of financial functions, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, as well as adherence to internal policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and precise preparation of financial documentation, including management reports, financial statements, performance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, economic value added (EVA), corporate tax, GST reporting, audit schedules, intercompany reconciliations, and verification of payment records.
  • Conduct credit assessments for vendor selection and collaborate with auditors and tax advisors on year-end and taxation issues.
  • Engage closely with outsourced service providers to review and assess submitted work.
  • Coordinate with the finance team at the Singapore headquarters for monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.

Qualifications and Skills

  • CPA/CA certification and/or a degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within Big 4 Accounting firms or the real estate sector.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a large, complex organizational environment.
  • Proficient in the local language for effective communication with local stakeholders, as well as in English for liaising with the headquarters.
  • Strong knowledge of the AASB framework, along with Australian income tax and GST regulations.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, complemented by strong interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with SAP systems is a plus.
  • Must be responsible, detail-oriented, analytical, organized, and capable of working independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage recurring schedules effectively.
