Accounting Manager Role

Our client is a globally recognized leader in the FMCG manufacturing industry with a strong presence across Australia and New Zealand. We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our high-performing finance team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage daily operations of the accounting function.
  • Supervise and support a small team.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate weekly, fortnightly, and monthly financial reports.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Oversee cash flow management, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations.
  • Coordinate internal and external audit processes ensuring full compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with tax obligations including BAS, PAYG, and payroll tax reporting.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to provide financial insights and analysis for decision-making.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy within the finance function.
  • Manage reporting obligations across both Australia and New Zealand.
About You:
  • Bonus if you hold CPA/CA qualification or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in managing and mentoring finance staff.
  • In-depth understanding of Australian accounting standards and familiarity with New Zealand reporting requirements.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical thinking.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Prior experience with similar ERP systems advantageous but not essential training will be provided.
  • A hands-on proactive professional who thrives in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
