Job Description

The Chaplain is a key role, responsible for the spiritual direction and life of Wadhurst.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the overall pastoral and spiritual care of the Campus community and contribute to the Chaplaincy Team across the three campuses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and lead key Chapel events, including the Wadhurst Chapel programme and annual Sunday House Chapel services.
  • Deliver spiritual content and pastoral care through weekly Bible readings, messages, prayers, and support for students, staff, and families.
  • Provide effective leadership, including advanced spiritual and pastoral care leadership.
Requirements and Qualifications

Be an ordained Anglican Priest with experience working in schools and teaching Religious Education and Philosophy.

Demonstrated ability to provide effective leadership, including advanced spiritual and pastoral care leadership.

University degree with at least a major in Theology and Religious Studies, and appropriate teacher training.
