The Role:

An exciting opportunity has become available within The Royal Children's Hospital for a Patient Services Assistant to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to Infection Control guidelines and Cleaning Standard for Victorian Health Facilities.
  • Assist with equipment delivery and facilitate patient movement within the hospital.
  • Respond promptly to planned and unplanned absenteeism by providing coverage as required.
  • Accept calls for shift coverage at short notice, demonstrating flexibility and reliability in meeting the hospital's needs.
Requirements:
  • Certificate III in Health Service Assistant (PSA) is essential.
  • Previous experience as a PSA is desirable.
  • Well-developed communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Proven interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to service excellence.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Willingness to undertake required training.
  • Ability to resolve conflict in a professional manner.
  • Capability to establish and maintain good working relationships with a diverse team.
  • Hardworking, reliable, and punctual.
  • Physically fit for manual work.
