Job Title:

ICT Support Assistant

Job Description:

The ICT Support Assistant will work closely with technicians and engineers to provide technical support to the council.

They will assist in the maintenance of the council's ICT asset register, input system data, and provide first-line support to users via an IT Helpdesk.

Key Responsibilities include:

Technical Support:

The ICT Support Assistant will be responsible for providing technical assistance to users, troubleshooting and resolving faults, and escalating issues to senior technicians as required.

Asset Register Management:

The ICT Support Assistant will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of the council's ICT assets, including software, hardware, and network equipment.

System Data Input:

The ICT Support Assistant will be responsible for accurately inputting system data, ensuring that all relevant information is recorded correctly and efficiently.

Requirements:

Candidates must possess a solid understanding of ICT systems and have excellent communication skills. A flexible approach and willingness to develop skills and knowledge are essential for this role.

A HNC qualification in an appropriate discipline is preferred but not mandatory. The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.
