Yard Person Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and physically fit individual to join our team as a Yard Person in the Plasterboard Centre.

  • Picking of customer orders in the Plasterboard Centre requires great organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Loading of NHS Utes and Trucks is a key responsibility, ensuring safe transportation of goods.
  • Assisting with pass-ups for onsite deliveries involves effective communication and teamwork.
  • Stocking and re-stocking products in racks and bays demands strong physical abilities and stamina.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work area is crucial for employee well-being and productivity.
  • Conducting stock counts and participating in stocktakes require strong analytical skills and attention to accuracy.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • A Safety First, Safety Second mindset is paramount in this role.
  • Following Safe Work Instructions (SWIs) ensures compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Punctuality and reliability in attending work are essential for meeting deadlines and commitments.
  • Physical fitness is necessary for frequent and repetitive lifting, making it an ideal role for individuals who enjoy manual labor.
  • A current Forklift ticket and Working at Heights ticket are required for this position, although training can be provided for the right candidate.

This role involves a Pre-employment Medical Assessment, including a Drug & Alcohol Screen, as well as a Background Check. Ongoing random Drug and Alcohol testing applies to all NHS positions.
