About the Role

Chapter Lead Modernisation role in Sydney, NSW, AU. This is a 12 Month Secondment/Max-Term Agreement position.

This is a Chapter Lead Modernisation opportunity to do work that matters. The Technology Chief Controls Office (TCCO) team ensures new and changing initiatives are assessed with adequate risk mitigations in place.

The Chapter Lead Modernisation role will be part of the Retail Technology team of TCCO, working closely with primary stakeholders of Modernisation Domains.

We are an outcome-driven team of professional risk managers who believe in supporting the goals and objectives of the Bank using pragmatism over process, removing hierarchies and focusing on the right information for the right people at the right time.

About You
  • Knowledge of Technology and Technology risk, Operational and Compliance Risk frameworks.
  • Extensive experience in banking/financial services/other non-financial services firms.
  • Familiarity with APRA standards, applicable to Technology and Operational risk.
  • A strong curiosity and capability in AI technologies and application.
  • Hands-on experience in DevSecOps practices within delivery frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Leading the Modernisation Chapter to drive transformation and uplift risk maturity.
  2. Identifying appropriate application and implementation of controls and control methodologies.
  3. Providing guidance and advice to senior leaders on their services and risk profiles.
  4. Collaborating with stakeholders to align to strategic outcomes and objectives.
  5. Driving continuous improvements across the Technology CCO, partners, and business stakeholders.
  6. Supporting decision-making on control improvement opportunities using data.
  7. Providing ongoing education to new and tech leaders and teams on current and changing risk and control practices.
