Our organisation offers an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated Family and Carer Peer Practitioner to join our team. This is an exciting chance to contribute your lived experience and expertise to support families and carers of individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
The role involves providing solution-focused, peer-led support through various modalities, including centre-based and outreach services, virtual platforms, and direct engagement with local mental health organisations. Your primary goal will be to champion the voice of lived experience, advocate for human rights, and provide alternative mental health responses utilising mutuality.
Key responsibilities include delivering services that are consistent with relational recovery-oriented practice from a peer/lived experience perspective, supporting your team in understanding and implementing these approaches, and engaging with local stakeholders to identify family/carers and provide early support.
This is a permanent part-time position available in the Bendigo area, requiring 32 hours per week and 22.8 hours per week for two separate roles. If you have a strong passion for promoting mental wellbeing, empowering individuals and families, and advocating for change, we encourage you to apply for this challenging and rewarding role.
