**Job Description:**

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Patent Agent to partner with our research scientists and engineers. This role will involve advising on freedom to operate and landscape analyses, supporting new development projects, and providing strategic intellectual property advice to our R&D teams.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Serving as a trusted colleague to our R&D teams on all intellectual property issues
  • Aligning intellectual property strategies with business and strategic plans
  • Building intellectual property awareness, culture, and standard work within the organization
  • Leading outside counsel in patent application preparation and prosecution
  • Providing educational presentations and training on intellectual property matters

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or Physics
  • Registered patent agent before the Canadian Intellectual Property Office and/or U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a patent agent/junior counsel
