Project Coordinator Role

The Project Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the development and implementation of projects and initiatives that align with strategic priorities.

This involves performing project management activities, providing informed advice to enable teams to oversee reforms that support future visions for health systems.

As a key member of the team, you will work in close partnership with healthcare executives, managers, and clinicians to support performance improvement and develop plans for better health outcomes.

The position is responsible for promoting the implementation of initiatives that improve patient flow and enhance the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and effective health services for communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of projects and initiatives that contribute to achieving strategic priorities.
  • Perform project management activities, including providing informed advice to enable teams to oversee reforms that support future visions for health systems.
  • Work in close partnership with healthcare executives, managers, and clinicians to support performance improvement and develop plans for better health outcomes.
  • Provide expert advice on issues that may impact on health system performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and assist teams in developing plans.
  • Promote the implementation of initiatives that improve patient flow and enhance the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and effective health services for communities.

Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience gained in a related industry, working effectively within a team environment with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in project management, with the ability to plan, organise, and implement projects on time.
  • Demonstrated excellent organisational skills, the capacity to successfully complete multiple tasks concurrently and achieve competing deadlines.
  • Demonstrated high level and effective communication skills (both verbal and written) including the ability to synthesise and present complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare complex reports and government documents, which include reporting of data.
  • Ability to work flexibly and effectively across policy and program areas if applicable.
