Procurement Specialist

The Sourcing Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting our category management team by developing and negotiating business-wide contracts that deliver cost-effective solutions for operational requirements.
Working closely with category managers, you will guide stakeholders through the development and execution of contract negotiations and pricing strategies, ensuring seamless integration with our Contract Management System.
As a Sourcing Specialist, you will provide expert advice on process, required templates, and transaction design in our Oracle finance system, driving efficiency and effectiveness in our procurement function.
This role will contribute to the repositioning of the procurement function at Lifeblood, elevating its profile and fostering strong communications with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and negotiate business-wide contracts that meet operational requirements
- Collaborate with category managers to guide stakeholders through contract negotiations and pricing strategies
- Provide expert advice on process, templates, and transaction design in Oracle finance system
- Lead sourcing events, including planning, analyzing expenditures, identifying cost items, negotiating, and generating contracts
- Support the repositioning of the procurement function at Lifeblood
- 3+ years of purchasing/strategic sourcing experience
- Exposure to contract negotiations, pricing schedules, and management plans
- Commercial experience, particularly understanding Agreement terms and conditions and negotiating same
- Ability to manage projects, establish clear goals, schedule, and documented outcomes
- Experience managing multiple sourcing events simultaneously
- Advanced systems skills and working knowledge of MS Office, with advanced Excel knowledge
- Effective interpersonal, communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills
- Able to build trusted and collaborative working relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability using ERP software
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (highly regarded but not essential)
