Job Description

The Head of Quality is responsible for overseeing all aspects of site quality assurance, ensuring full compliance with food safety and regulatory standards. You will play a key role in managing audits, driving continuous improvement, and supporting product integrity from raw materials through to finished goods.

You will lead and develop the site QA team to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and certification standards (HACCP, BRC, SQF, etc.). Additionally, you will maintain and improve the site's Quality Management System (QMS).

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree qualified in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related discipline – essential
  • Extensive QA leadership experience in a high-care manufacturing environment (e.g. chilled foods, dairy, fresh produce, ready meals)
  • In-depth knowledge of quality systems, food safety legislation, and customer standards
  • Demonstrated success managing audits and maintaining third-party certifications
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
