Procurement Specialist

We are seeking an experienced procurement professional to join our team in Dandenong.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing C-Parts/Auxillary and Sundries related to Rolling Stock project requirements.

The day-to-day activities of this role involve supplier development, RFQ management, supplier and contract negotiations, and business award conclusion with Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Safety.

  • Manage specific supplier panel relationships (negotiation, specific agreement, local supplier QCDT performances)
  • Participate actively in commodity strategy and panel elaboration
  • Support the Commodity Manager in tender phase
  • Represent commodities towards projects, platforms, and solutions

To succeed in this role, you require:

  • Degree in Business or Engineering or demonstrable experience with purchasing or supply chain management
  • Previous experience with Purchasing preferably in a manufacturing or project environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills (leadership, ability to convince)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of commodities in area of specialization

  1. Supplier Development: Identify and develop strategic partnerships with suppliers to meet project requirements.
  2. RFQ Management: Coordinate and manage the Request for Quote process to ensure timely delivery and cost-effective solutions.
  3. Contract Negotiations: Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  4. Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage budgets and forecasts to ensure accurate financial planning.
