Job Title: Intake Support Professional

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our multidisciplinary team and gain valuable experience in a comprehensive genetic service.

  • We are seeking a highly organized individual with excellent interpersonal skills to support patients through the intake process.
  • The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of genetics and a passion for working with patients and families affected by genetic disorders.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Processing new referrals and contacting patients to explain the services offered by our centre.
  • Gathering family history information, obtaining cancer verifications, and booking appointments.
  • Completing administration and data entry tasks related to the intake process.
  • Coordinating the intake process with team members and liaising with Genetic Counsellors.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A first or second year Master of Genetic Counselling, Master of Genomics & Health, or Master of Health Sciences (Genetic Counselling) degree.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently with support from colleagues.
