About the Role


We are seeking a skilled Site Account Manager to join our Asia Pacific East Sales and Services team. Your primary responsibility will be to build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers at our customer sites, continuously promoting Metso Outotec's value-added offerings.


This role will be based in Mackay, Queensland, and will support customers in the Bowen Basin Coalfields. You will report to the Senior Sales Manager and work closely with our technical sales support, customer service, field service, business/product lines, and other support teams to ensure a healthy business with high customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities



  • Deliver profitable business growth in the after-market business area, as well as identifying investment/capex opportunities for the wider business
  • Plan the activities of any Metso Outotec function at the site
  • Seek and coordinate the best resources and channels to be used for customer-facing activities
  • Understand customer business and present Metso Outotec's added value
  • Drive site sales activities, together with cross-organizational site account teams
  • Maintain and share information of installed base, performance, and shutdown schedules and plans
  • Orchestrate customer satisfaction surveys and closed-loop activities to ensure continuous improvement
  • Support Accounts Receivable and payment collections
  • Ensure account data is up-to-date in customer relationship management (CRM) systems

Requirements



  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a similar engineering discipline, or a trade qualification from college or technical school
  • Mining industry experience is essential
  • Intermediate level of computer literacy in MS Office – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must have a current motor vehicle license and passport
  • Must be able to travel up to 60% of the time by motor vehicle
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasive skills
  • Excellent sales and presentation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
