About the Role
We are seeking a Roster Coordinator to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to fast-track their learning, express their creativity and work with a fun, enthusiastic and passionate team.
This role will involve coordination of staffing needs across the organization on a day-to-day basis. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, highly organized and an effective communicator. They will also need to liaise with all departments to develop a cost-effective roster that meets the operational needs of the business.
This role will include working predominantly core business hours, and will be expected to participate in a rotating weekend roster with other members of the team.
Key Responsibilities:

- E nsure rosters are prepared in accordance with enterprise agreement and approved skill qualifications, policies and procedures
- Take a strategic and analytical approach towards rostering needs
- Make adjustments to rosters from daily leave information to coordinate operational staffing requirements
- Respond quickly and effectively to roster changes and liaise with all key stakeholders to ensure operational efficiency
- Conduct welfare checks
- Assist with the maintenance of database records
- Monitor daily attendance and investigate and understand causes for staff absences & replace absences
- Completion of administrative tasks associated with preparation of rosters
- Build strong working relationships with all key stakeholders
- Assist with the maintenance of database records for all team members inclusive of all leave, absenteeism, turnover, team member movements and resignations
- Produce and process all reports, leave requests and availability changes

- Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and conflict resolution
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage competing priorities
- Strong commitment to confidentiality of personal information
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent problem solving and time management skills
- Sense of urgency
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Effective stakeholder management
- Must be flexible working outside core business hours
- RSA & RCG Competency Cards - Or be willing to obtain
- Tertiary qualifications in human resources or business related discipline or working towards obtaining
- Experience using Rostering Management Software
Desirable Criteria:
- Knowledge of Ceridian / Dayforce (Workforce Management)
