Job Role Overview

This role involves collaborating with the National Operations Loss Team to provide actionable insights and business performance reporting for Australian Supermarkets as it relates to stock loss. Key responsibilities include delivering performance insights, driving performance improvement, optimizing end-to-end performance, championing continuous improvement, fostering team collaboration, and cultivating strong relationships.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Deliver Performance Insights: Provide actionable analysis and commentary on departmental and category performance, including underlying loss, supporting weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting.
  • Drive Performance Improvement: Offer decision support and lead key forecasting and planning processes to enhance financial and operational outcomes.
  • Optimize End-to-End Performance: Collaborate with operational and finance stakeholders to improve overall performance and decision-making.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement: Identify, implement, and lead process enhancements within the finance team and across the business, ensuring data integrity.
  • Foster Team Collaboration: Actively engage in team development, sharing improvements, and maintaining robust financial processes and controls.
  • Cultivate Strong Relationships: Build effective working relationships across various teams and embrace change to achieve individual and team goals.

Requirements

  • CPA / CA qualified experience or equivalent experience preferable with multinational FMCG or retail experience preferred.
  • Able to communicate complex financial information in a simple manner, including presentation and storyboarding skills.
  • Sound organisational and effective time management skills, including ability to navigate uncertainty, conflicting demands and shifting priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to exercise sound judgement and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  • Ability to work flexibly and with agility.
  • Experienced using and navigating large data sets to support key messages, including simplifying the complex within reporting.
