Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT professional to assume a key role in managing and maintaining our database systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, availability, and security of our data across various platforms.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and maintain databases on-premises and in cloud environments
  • Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery plans to minimize data loss
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks such as updates, patching, and upgrades to prevent system downtime
  • Build and maintain user roles and permissions to ensure data access security
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across the database environment
  • Manage user access and permissions to comply with organizational policies and industry regulations
  • Optimize database queries and troubleshoot performance issues to improve overall system efficiency
  • Provide technical support for database-related issues and incidents, including on-call support as needed
  • Collaborate with development teams to resolve issues and improve system performance
  • Document database configurations, procedures, and issues for reference and compliance
Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a DBA with expertise in IFS Cloud and Azure hosted databases
  • Proven experience with database installation, configuration, and maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle, SQL, and database performance tuning
  • Proficiency in database management tools and software
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
