About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Academic Director to lead our Foundation function across a multi-site organization. As a key member of our leadership team, you will provide academic and educational leadership to facilitate staff commitment and ensure the delivery of positive educational outcomes for students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the management of Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) and Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) contracts
  • Develop strong relationships with relevant community, industry, and government agencies
  • Lead and manage the strategic development of programs within the directorate
  • Collaborate with government, settlement agencies, and service providers to deliver integrated services to students and improve settlement and educational outcomes
  • Lead the delivery of high-quality programs, including VET EAL (English as an Additional Language) and Auslan programs, and Overseas Qualified Professional Programs (OQP) and the VCE Vocational Major
Requirements
  • Demonstrated highly skilled relationship management experience
  • Ability to foster positive relationships with staff at all levels within the directorate, broader Institute, and with partners, community, and government agencies
  • Understanding and commitment to the transformative impact of education in progressing economic mobility and social connectedness of communities and individuals
  • Experience within migrant communities and those with diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
  • Ability to provide educational and academic leadership, including a demonstrated knowledge of curriculum and delivery issues relating to the program profile of the Directorate
