Technical Specialist Role

This involves creating and implementing innovative solutions using critical communications, video security, and command center technologies.

As a Technical Specialist, you will collaborate with our team to develop technical support for P25 subscriber radio configuration, including creating and updating configurations via CPS, RM, or RC.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing exceptional customer service by addressing their technical requirements through collaborative efforts with a team of specialists
  • Designing and managing codeplugs, updating documentation to ensure seamless integration
  • Evaluating new software and firmware releases to provide summarized reports for customers
  • Conducting thorough regression testing for firmware updates to guarantee stability
  • Offering technical assistance to stakeholders on various matters
  • Promoting stakeholder engagement through meetings to discuss configuration impacts and implementation strategies
  • Implementing a standardized process for codeplug development and testing
  • Handling customer inquiries related to subscriber radio configuration in a timely manner
  • Maintaining the latest versions of software tools and servers to support operational efficiency
  • Following established procedures and accurately documenting all interactions
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by management

A tertiary qualification in Electronics, Computer Systems Engineering, or equivalent industry experience is mandatory. Proficiency in Land Mobile Radio systems, particularly Motorola ASTRO P25, is highly desirable.

The ideal candidate should possess skills such as client and vendor interfacing, software/firmware testing, codeplug management, and Microsoft Office proficiency. Additionally, familiarity with Motorola radio systems and experience in operations environments would be beneficial.
