About the role:
The Team Leader is responsible for leading a team to support clients with disabilities in line with their NDIS plans and goals.
As a hands-on leader, you will be responsible for supervising a team to ensure a person-centred environment where employees can identify and solve problems.
You will oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of 4 Supported Independent Living (SIL) sites based in Gladstone, working across home settings and community settings.
The ideal applicant will have a values-driven leadership style that promotes honesty and integrity, and can work autonomously.
Reporting to the Operations manager for Central Queensland, this role may require occasional travel to Rockhampton for training or meetings.
Key responsibilities include:
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the NDIS Quality & Safeguarding Framework
- Identify and highlight growth opportunities through client interactions
- Review rosters, leave, timesheets and performance of Support Workers
- Foster a supportive and respectful community-centric environment incorporating the interests of families & guardians
Requirements include:
- Bachelor's degree in human services or equivalent tertiary education
- Up to date First Aid and CPR certification
- At least 3 years' experience working in leadership roles
